Beach Safety
If you get into difficulty in the
water, keep calm, keep you head above water, shout and raise
your arm for help.
For you own safety before taking
surfing lessons or any other tuition check that the instructors
are qualified.
Don't swim alone. Don't swim on a
full stomach, after drinking, if tired, or cold.
If you do not know the local conditions
and times of high water, stay out!!
If caught in a rip tide, swim across
the current to calmer water.
If in doubt stay out!! Don't get
cut off by an incoming tide.
Do swim on one of the many lifeguard
supervised beaches.
Don't venture into the water in rough
seas.
Swim only between the red and yellow
flags.
Above all enjoy yourselves.
